Walter Fernando Yataco Briozo

Walter Yataco (Wolta) (Lima, 1994) is a Peruvian director and audiovisual editor. His work spans documentary, fiction, and music, integrating directing, editing, and sound design with a humanistic and experiential approach. He has created short films, documentaries, music videos, and transmedia projects that have been recognized at festivals both within and outside Peru. He is also a musician and composer in the band The Amixers, exploring the intersection of audiovisual narrative and musical sensibility. He is interested in telling stories where the technical dialogues with the emotional, and where art functions as a space for memory, identity, and social reflection.
