David Robitaille

David Robitaille is a Canadian film director, producer & actor from the city of Montreal, Quebec. A voting member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television since the age of 20 years old, his focus is on developing and directing feature films through an advantageous MTL-LA production blueprint, aiming to revive Los Angeles as Hollywood's core production city while leveraging his partnerships in Montreal for post-production. His involvement in Sony's Karate Kid: Legends (2025) rewarded him with a valued industry mentor: Richard Graves (1st AD), known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) , The Life of Chuck (2024) , etc. He often credits the DGA veteran for his guidance on David's own productions - union short films he uses as strategic calling cards in Hollywood. Robitaille is a staunch advocate for industry standards, as he prioritizes union-backed productions with studio-grade logistics to ensure the highest level of professional welfare for his cast and crew. He sees authenticity, compassion, honesty and respect as core values in his work environment and takes inspiration from his faith in the Lord to create meaningful stories, narratives and universes (IP). Despite being a strategic and hard working entrepreneur, his background in acting, music, tech & design fuels his creative approach to developing human-led, premium branded & genuinely authentic production packages.
