Joaquin Perocillo

Joaquin Perocillo (born May 1, 2001) is a Filipino filmmaker from Cavite who lived in Cebu City for 11 years, where his filmmaking journey began. He directed, produced, and edited Cinebuano (2023), a short documentary that won several local awards, including the World Building Award at MontaƱosa Film Festival. He also scored Cut/Off (Best Music, Sinepiyu 2022) and edited short films such as Papatuli (2024) and Purr (2022). He wants to see and be part of a movement in Philippine Cinema that embraces diversity, properly representing the languages and cultures found throughout the nation's many regions.
