Scott Elder

Scott Elder got his start selling his first screenplay to Walt Disney Studios along with his long time writing partner Josh Harmon. He is a screenwriter, director and producer best known as the creator and writer of the WGA Awards nominated action-thriller series Most Dangerous Game (2020–2023), which premiered on Quibi and later moved to The Roku Channel. Working alongside Josh Harmon, Elder helped reimagine Richard Connell’s classic 1924 short story into a modern, fast-paced narrative starring Liam Hemsworth and Christoph Waltz. In addition to Most Dangerous Game, Elder has written the documentary Waterman (2021), upcoming thrillers Act of God for BYU Broadcasting and Whiskey Throttle for InTension Industries. He's also written for animation (Secret Saturdays (2008)) and streaming (Among US IRL (2022)) for DevinSupertramp on YouTube. His short directorial debut Hébé Kills Jarry (1998) premiered at SXSW 1998 with some distinction. His work often explores high-stakes, dramatic, character-driven narratives across varying genres.
