Akin

Akin was an Indonesian cinematographer. Akin did not graduate from high school & worked as an assistant cameraman at Olympic Studio. After serving as assistant cameraman for only two films—one of which was Disimpang Djalan (1955) directed by The Teng Gan (TG The)—he was appointed as a full-time cameraman in the film A Thousand Steps (1957), starting his career in the Indonesian film industry. In 1957, he worked as a cameraman in Turang, directed by Bachtiar Siagian. This film won awards for film, director, supporting actor, and artistic arrangement at FFI 1960.
