Lust for Life
1h 29m
For ten years, Viktor Nordenskjöld has followed Syrian teenagers Hazim and Said and their struggle to find a new home after fleeing across the sea to Europe in 2015. Said, paralyzed from an injury, is forced to leave his wheelchair along the way and is literally carried by Hazim toward a new life in Hamburg. The film traces how life gradually stabilizes for the friends: they learn German, attend school, and begin working. Over time, Said becomes increasingly independent, while Hazim confronts the realization that even the strong sometimes need someone to lean on.
