
The 1941 Jedwabne pogrom was a long-standing blank spot in Polish history. It was not until Jan Tomasz Gross's book "Neighbors" that a debate on Polish-Jewish relations during the occupation began. The film shows how this topic divided Poles and was appropriated by historical politics.
